new bits

November melange

Fairly desperate attempt at update. Can't remember whats been recorded and what not. Here's a selection  I don't remember seeing on site.

The dates are featured after the size but these are the dates they are finished by, not the dates they were painted - there is a distinction -

Its not that its so hard to keep track, its that I don't enjoy photographing and measuring and generally owning up.

Been using new scintillating pigments that are wonderful to paint with but horrible to photograph so there may be some major differences between the images and the reality. Plus ca change...

non human clay

Having fretted for ages about what a human is, have jumped the other way to what a human is not, probably - have tried to invest humanity into non-humans, by one means or another; an expression, a religious or totemic indicator, a self-consciousness expressed in jewelry or clothing.

These are little paintings, about 33 x 24 cms or smaller, all oil on canvas. None have titles. Some are taken from dreams, some just fanciful.
